Maintenance on the Spirii Platform Apr 8, 2025 06:00-07:00 CEST

Spirii will be deploying a new OCPP gateway to enhance our service and enable future support for Reverse Load Balancing.

As part of this update, a charging station connection restart will be required. In the event of any issues, recovery measures are in place to ensure a swift resolution.

Update - The issue with our SIM card provider, Onomondo, has now stabilized. All services are operational, and devices should come back online on the next authentication attempt.

Scheduled - On Wednesday, March 26th, from 6 to 7 AM, our Cloud Team will be upgrading our system. We don’t expect any disruptions or issues, but there is a small chance that some parts of the charging process could be affected. If that happens, we’ll work quickly to fix it within the maintenance window.

Chargers will stay connected throughout, as the system responsible for that won’t be impacted by this update.

Monitoring - Full functionality have been enabled to OCPP Bridge, and systems are running fine. You may experience some minor delays, but all operations should work as expected. We will monitor the situation closely over the weekend.

Investigating - We are now seeing good stability in charging, and the situation appears to be improving. However, we are still unable to configure installations via the Zaptec server, and the root cause of the issue is still under investigation.

Monitoring - We are seeing improvements to OCPP bridge, and our systems are stable again after our latest deployment. However, OCPP have been deployed with limited functionality. With this, all charging stations that are connected, will work as expected. But, if there are done any changes on installation level - updates from installations, circuits, and chargers, OCPP messages will not be received.
This includes changes such as change to authentication mode, and the addition or removal of installations, circuits, or chargers from OCPP.

We are actively monitoring the situation, working on a solution, and expect full functionality to be restored by tomorrow morning, with further improvements ongoing.

Update - We observed an improvement in Zaptec’s network last night, and we are hopeful that the situation will stabilize soon. However, we will continue to monitor the issue closely and work alongside Zaptec to ensure a full resolution.

Update - Zaptec is still investigating the network issues impacting OCPP charging, mainly affecting public chargers. We continue to work closely with them towards a resolution.

Investigating - We are currently aware of an issue affecting Zaptec's network, which is causing difficulties with starting charges via OCPP. This is mostly an issue on public chargers, as most home installations are running on Spiriis own backend. The Zaptec team is actively investigating the problem, and we will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
